How to Be a Successful Muslim Wife

Keep trying to be the best wife. You just have to keep trying no matter how hard it is. For being a good wife is WAJIB in Islam and I believe all other religion are teaching the same it's just that in Islam we have our own specific rules.However, there are basic guidelines and features to be a good wife in all religion.

You have to know the fact that you are sharing your life with someone else now.You are sharing almost everything with him.Bedroom,of course, then bathroom, wardrobe, bed, and even pillow.Everything that you can name it.Tooth brush? maybe for certain couples (not us, okeh!) ;P

You are no longer VETO person who decides everything.

The question is, how to be a succesfull muslim wife?

I copy below from a website - Be A Successful Muslim Wife

Be the best wife you can be. Being a good Muslim wife is in many ways similar to being a good wife in other religions. Sure it has its own special features and requirements, just like any other religion. However, there are common basic methods and guidelines for being a good wife in general. Follow them.

Make Dua. Always ask Allah for forgiveness and blessings on your marriage.

Understand and respect your husband's rights. Study authentic ahaadith and make sure that you understand your obligations as a wife as well as understand your rights. In Islam, a good wife is expected to be honest, sincere and congnizant of her husband's needs. At the same time her husband must respect her, fulfill her needs and even help her in household chores.

Be secure in yourself. Putting yourself down in front of him is another way of insulting his taste in women. If he is with you, it's because he wants to be. He will find you sexy even if you don't feel like it, if you act the part. Remember that attitude and willingness are large parts of being sexy. Poor self-esteem and a "void" in your life is terrible for marriage. Make sure you still have a fun and interesting life. If your husband left tomorrow, would you still have girlfriends you see at least once a month, hobby clubs you go to, sports you play? If not, your husband will always be working to fill a void he can't, and will feel inadequate and unhappy.

Express, don't accuse. Except in the rare event that your husband happens to be psychic, don't expect mind-reading powers. If you want something, ask. If something is wrong, say so. Don't drop hints or figure he'll "come around". Communicate calmly, clearly and directly. Relationships work best when each partner calmly express their current emotion without harping on what he has done. Frequently, a "I feel attacked" or "I feel sad" is all it takes for him to step back and ask, "Why?" Then simply say, "When you slammed the door, I felt ignored." Let "I feel" be your guide.

Don't expect the moon. He needs to keep trying, you need to keep trying, but neither of you is perfect. Unmet expectations tend to frustrate everyone. However, if you both keep working on your marriage, you will always be covered, even when one of you comes up a little short. If your expectations are truly too high or unrealistic, then set standards that are obtainable. For example, it is unfair to expect to be lavished with possessions and have the love of your life home for every meal. Should you want more together time, be prepared to have that desire fulfilled at some expense.

Pick your battles. Nagging and nitpicking can destroy a relationship. As long as the dishes are clean and unbroken, for instance, don't nag about how to load the dishwasher "the right way". Let him do things his own way. Don't sweat the small stuff. Focus on what is important.

Accept him. Only by accepting him as he is, do you have such deep respect and gratitude for him that you would never want him to change in any way for you. He has so much to offer you if only you give him the space to be himself. He is a growing individual, just like you are. Help him grow in the direction that he chooses, and give him the chance to help you.

Dress pleasantly/attractively.If you are a home-maker,don’t stay in your sleeping suit all day.Behave like a female, i.e. all the tenderness of a female.

Race to the door when he comes home, as if you were waiting for him. Smile, hug and kiss him.

Stay with him during hard time. He will need his wife to listen to him, comfort him and give him the strength. Don't be selfish.

Sofea's Closet Boutique

Presenting Sofea's new closet! yeayyyy!

My husband just installed all the parts last night, and me playing the role as the organizer.

Hopefully this can resolve our current problems as previously we just use a storage box to store her clothes/outfits, below is our daily issue;
  • Could not find the suit that we are looking for after her shower.
  • The storage was such a mess as we have to dig here and there to find her suits.
  • Keep wearing the same suits (the suit which is on the top).

Plus, arent this look so BEAUTIFUL, NEAT & CLEAN? ;) (cehhh..lebih la pulak....)

1,2,3....surpriseee!!
Taraaaaaaaaaaa! hehe (sebenarnyer biasa2 je pun)

which event you are about to attend my dear?
I'm very please to find one perfect dress for you...heheh

p/s : closet bought from IKEA

Sofea's New Car

We are unintentionally buying this toy car. We went to Tesco last Saturday as my husband was looking for his remote control helicopter.

Yeah, you got me right, HIS remote control heli..haish! ( but he couldn't find one and bought a remote car instead) .

Since I'm not that interested to look for a heli or car or anything which relates to this, we split. I made my own way to the MORE INTERESTING lane, which is GIRL's TOYS area.

From far you can spot this niche.ALL PINK.

My eyes was fascinated by the cuteness of this one car by fisher price.The only car in his area which solely made for baby girls.

rabbit & ball is just accessory to enhance the look of this picture..hehe!

see the princess, the castle tower and all the blocks at the front side of the car?
I just put them together before i took the pictures.
Sofea Hana will always pull this blocks out from their places.

Mr.Rabbit is ready to go to school!  ;)

My ear-catchy song

Know what? This song and melody stay still on my mind since the first time I listen to it.And yesterday, it was like the  "awakening' when it played from my husband's car audio, and since then it starts to play on my head continuosly.huh!

Out of my control, suddenly it popped out from my mouth  below lines;

"Bercinta aku mahu
Tapi tidak denganmu
Ku sudah ada satu
Kekasih yang menunggu....."

Haha! Yes, this is Lelaki seperti Aku' song by Aliff Satar.

Very Ear-catchy. And from my little reading, it happend that way  because the tones of the tunes lay in the perfect frequecies.Hmm...i dont know how to elaborate further, go read and find yourself, and explain to me later. oke! hehe.

Layannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.....(with my MP3 currently playing this song.haha!) It seems forever since my last time download a song, and for the first time today, i downloaded this song.

"Memang tak ada lelaki seperti aku
Tapi yang lebih baik banyak

Memang tak ada lelaki sehebat aku
Tapi yang lebih hebat banyak

Maka tak perlu kau susah hati
Banyak lelaki yang bisa kau pilih
Untuk kau jadikan sandaran hati

Memang tak ada lelaki seseksi aku
Tapi yang lebih seksi banyak

Memang tak ada lelaki setampan aku
Tapi yang lebih tampan banyak

Maka tak perlu sedu sedan itu
Jangan sampai kau rendahkan dirimu
Memaksa aku menjadi pacarmu

Oo baby baby
Jangan kau marah sebab ku tolak
Ku tahu kau cantik
Ku percaya kau baik
Ku yakin pasti ada
Lelaki yang tertarik

Oo baby
Jangan kau dendam sebab ku enggan

Bercinta aku mahu
Tapi tidak denganmu
Ku sudah ada satu
Kekasih yang menunggu

Ceritanya aku sedang belajar setia
Makanya dari itu kamu jangan memaksa
Kerna aku memang tak suka mendua...."

What's yours??? ;)

Do you 'mengigau' in your sleep?

Dialogue this Subuh between Me & my Husband ;

Me : "B, bangun solat subuh"
Hubby : "hmmm..nak merisik"
Me: " haaa?"
Hubby: "kahwin la..."
Me: "Sape yang nak kahwin?" (errrr??)
Hubby : "Kawan i laa.."
Me: "Ohhh..ingatkan u yang nk kahwin"
Hubby : "xlah..kawan i"
Me: "OK, tapi mane boleh kahwin subuh2 ni" (layankan....hehe)
Hubby : " Xlah, nak merisik je "
Me : "Ohh, nak merisik pun xboleh subuh2 ni"
Hubby : --silent--- (with eyes shut, about to continue sleeping)
Me : "Dah2, pegi subuh dulu.."(while shaking his body)
Hubby : Eh! (konon2 terperanjat la ni...hehe) i ingatkan i dah bangun tadi, rupanya masih atas katil lagi..."(he was smiling)

And, he woke up straight away from his bed :P

Salam Maal Hijrah 1433M - 27th November 2011 -> Me, as the Birthday girl

My birthday falls on the same day where all Muslim celebrating  new year.

1 Muharram 1433M -> 27 November 2011

What so special about 1 Muharram? Simple, it marks the beginning of Islamic year. Since I was a kid i always heard people said that on this day all of us will receive a new 'book'. A book which note down all our good/bad deeds along the year. So, last year 'book' will be closed and we'll have to be accountable for what we have done.

If you do a GOOD DEED, you'll get reward (JANNAH) from Allah in the hereafter, and vice versa.
Means that if your BAD DEED is greater than your GOOD DEED, you'll get punishment in Akhirah, nauzubillah..

So, pray that all of us will get forgiveness from Allah and we'll be among His lover in JANNAH..amin.

Knowing the fact that all of us will return back to our Creator, Allah and we are invented solely to worship Him it's vital for us (me) to improve my relationship with Him everyday and always trying our level best to be a good Muslim.

Literally, that is my resolution for this year.To be a GOOD MUSLIM.

Rasulullah said: "The woman who reads her five namaazes (perform prayer), fasts in the month of Ramadhan, protects her chastity and is obedient to her I husband; such a woman will enter into Jannah from any of the doors she wishes to enter from."

*In other words if she fulfils the basic Islamic duties upon (her then without great exertion in ibadah and worship she will attain lofty stages.

I will have to focus to these 4 points. So these are my checklist for this year.

I would like to elaborate more on 'OBEDIENT TO HUSBAND' based on what i read. Honestly, i really have to remind myself all the time about this one thing ( actually to ALL above, but this one thing I think i take it lightly. Not that i don't know that it's WAJIB, but i just take it lightly..a bad me! )

I knew that i'm not doing the best for my husband. As I can still answer 'nanti..lah', pull a face, throw a sulk and many many more (My husband can name it!ohhhh)..

oh..before i off, HAPPY 27th- BIRTHDAY TO ME! oh...how i love 27.

Travelogue - B.A.N.D.U.N.G

Last 8th Nov we went to BANDUNG for 5 nights and 4 days. Abord the plane from Malaysia at 4.15pm (it was delayed, supposed to be at 3.30pm okey!) and off back at 5.00pm Bandung time (delayed also! huh, it just Air Asia)

But, it's OK...you sure know how to spell F.U.N when you are on holiday!! wehuuuuuu.

Note : Bandung time is late 1 hour than MY time. And we are pretty much confused at first with the Solat time, as you can find below in their local time;
  • Subuh time is 4.00am
  • Zuhr at 11.30am++ ,
  • Asr at 3.00pm++,
  • Maghrib at 6.00pm++
  • Isyak at 7.00pm++ (around this, am not sure the exact time)

We stay at Hotel Unik,Bandung. It offers an affordable rate and i think just fine for those who have limited budget like us. We are like don't care much about the stay, as long as it CLEAN, equipped with our basic needs and have free WIFI! :)

Day 2:  Early in the morning at 9.00am we off to Tangkuban Perahu. If you have no idea about this place, here i quote from Wikipedia

Tangkuban Perahu (spelt Tangkuban Parahu in the local Sundanese dialect) is a dormant volcano 30 km north of the city of Bandung, the provincial capital of West Java, Indonesia. It last erupted in 1959. It is a popular tourist attraction where tourists can hike or ride to the edge of the crater to view the hot water springs and boiling mud up close, and buy eggs cooked on the hot surface.

Here the pics of us!

Baby Teeth

Salam All, I just copy them over here, the info i get from http://www.healthyteeth.org/
What's the difference between "baby" teeth and permanent teeth?
At between six and ten months of age, most infants begin to get their "baby" teeth.

The Central Incisors (front middle teeth) usually come in first, and then teeth begin appearing on either side and work their way back to the second molars.
By the time a child has reached three years old, most of the "baby" teeth should be present.

The process begins to repeat itself when the child is about seven years old. The Central Incisors fall out first and are replaced by permanent teeth. By the age of 21, most people have all of their permanent teeth.

Diagram of First Teeth

"Baby" teeth are important because they hold the place for permanent teeth and help guide them into correct position. "Baby" teeth play an important role in the development of speech and chewing.

I believe all of you get you permanent teeth already, Or do I have elementary readers here? hehe

why i posted about tooth development here? Below picture is the answer.

see...She got her first two baby teeth already! Alhamdulillah
watch for her bite mommy!

Before we reached kampung, we stopped by at town first to buy Sofea's stuff (Anmum powder, Petpet pampers, Nestum etc).We buy in bundle, like 5 packs of Anmum, 4 packs of pampers to serve as our stock for the entire month since the shop sells at the cheapest price that we could find.
